MOLD TESTING​

Highly qualified mold testing professionals possess a skill set which combines extensive knowledge of both building science as well as mycology. Anyone can take a swab sample on a floor structure that appears to be stained by “organic matter” or take air samples throughout the house.

We at Mold Testing Long Island NY are strategic in our approach and respect the financial considerations of our clients. We spend time consulting with the client to understand the concern and execute a testing strategy that is both comprehensive as well as cost effective.

Mold Assessments

A complete assessment includes the client consultation, the assessment/inspection and finally the assessment report. See sample reports for an example of an executed report. Each of the three steps are critical in generating an informative and useful report.  

Clearance Testing

A clearance test is a post remediation mold test to confirm that the remediation has been properly performed. This test might be only a visual inspection, or it may duplicate the previously performed mold testing in quantities of samples taken. A clearance report will be sent to the client.

Indoor Air quality Testing

Mold is one of many allergens that can cause harm to the human body. When symptoms are present, and the client wants to expand testing to a wide range of possible allergens that is when particle analysis is performed. This air sampling includes allergens such as fiberglass, soot and wood flooring to name three of many. Please see two sample reports in the sample reports section. Other Allergens

Mold Symptoms

Mold symptoms vary greatly from individual to individual. Certain people can be exposed to mold indefinitely and not be adversely impacted, while others may immediately feel ill upon exposure. Common mold related symptoms include but are not limited to the following:

  • Cough and post nasal drip
  • Itchy eyes, nose and throat
  • Runny nose
  • Sneezing
  • Watery eyes
