Assessment/Inspection
An assessment begins with additional conversation between the client and Mold Testing Long Island NY onsite. Specific questions include but are not limited to
- What symptoms are you suffering from?
- How long has this problem existed?
- Where do you suspect the problem originates?
- How long have you lived here?
- How does the house perform in terms of water diversion/ water penetration?
After the facts have been established, Mold Testing Long Island NY will use their combined knowledge of building science, construction and mycology to evaluate the entire structure including:
- Site, including grading
- Exterior
- Basement/Crawlspace
- Attic
- Interior Room Including beds and baths
- Mechanical Systems Including heat/hvac/water heating
The results of this evaluation will determine the recommended quantity of air samples and/or swabs to be sampled.
The samples are sent to a lab via Fed Ex for analysis. The results generally take between 24-48 hours from sampling time to receipt of results. The results include the fungal types identified, the spore count of fungal types identified and if a problem may exist.
